Downloading Enzo

After you have downloaded Enzo, go to UserGuide/BuildingEnzo for instructions on how to compile the code. For a complete listing of the contents of the distribution, see ContentsOfPublicDistro.

Get Enzo from Subversion

One can get the most current public version of Enzo via our anonymous, read-only Subversion repository. Go to UserGuide/CheckOutInstructions for instructions on how to retrieve Enzo via Subversion. Note that this is the recommended method for getting a copy of Enzo, since it will make it easy for you to get bug fixes and other code updates.

Download a tarball of Enzo

The Enzo 1.5 release is available here.

Click here to download the most current complete Enzo distribution. This gzipped tar file is created nightly from the Enzo public Subversion repository. While guaranteed to be current to within 24 hours of when it is downloaded, this method of distribution is deprecated.

Browse the source code

Click here to browse the source code stored in the Enzo public Subversion repository. While one could reconstruct the distribution using the source code browser, this is highly deprecated. We suggest using one of the methods described above.

Other methods of acquiring Enzo

As per RFC 1149, Enzo can be distributed through IP datagram via avian carrier. We ask, however, that you provide the carrier pigeons and some means for us to attach a printout of the Enzo source code to said pigeons. Additionally, Enzo can be distributed via USB flash drive, CD-ROM, 3.5, 5.25 or 8 inch floppy disk, paper printout, stack of punch cards (specify type), or flying monkey (user must provide monkey). Please feel free to contact the director of the Laboratory for Computational Astrophysics, Dr. Michael Norman, for further information and for a shipping address.
